Bont shoe sizing

Postby mikesbytes » Fri Jul 04, 2014 9:42 pm

I take a 43 in Shimano or Sidi, I'm looking at a 42.5 Bont MTB shoe. How is the Bont sizing vs Shimano and/or Sidi?

I use 44 in both Shimano (xc60) and bont (vaypor) but that's no guarantee that they'll all match.

I bought a cheap pair of riots ($89 posted from CE at the time) to test sizing then bought a pair of vaypors online. The bont size wizard suggested 42.5 and I can't really see how I'd ever have fit into those.

Does seem odd that the sizing wizard would say 42.5 when you fit 44

I'm 46 in both Shimano and Bont.

Their chart seems off, have worn just about every model of Bonts and have been the same in Bonts as I was in Shimano. Get what you normally get if in doubt or can't try on in person.

If only somebody carried a 49 and/or 49 wide I would've been all over them like a kid on a cupcake :(

Handy to know most people are wearing like for like sizes.

Only dale is wearing a different size. Dale is that due to width?

43 Shimano 43 Bont here. Tried a 42.5 Bont as per the wizard, too small.

was told by Bont rep they do a standard and wide fit?

I am a 44 usually and tried a 44 wide fit on and was too big. He suggested I go a standard fit and go up a size to 45

Standard, Wide and Narrow. Although anything but standard seems almost impossible to get in Aus. I had to order my wide Vaypor+ from the UK.

I found the Riots to be very wide out of the box for the standard shoe, much more than any other models.

a little but my foot just works in 47 bonts and 48 shimanos.. 47 shimanos are too narrow and a little too short for me.
