I am in the market for a new touring frame and have been trying to find some information about the Astir brand from South Australia. I have been told from Astir that they are releasing a touring specific frame in a few months and was wondering if there is anyone out there that has knowledge and/or experience with the brand. Any info is appreciated, they look like a great bike, however it's a large investment to make without previous knowledge of the workmanship.
Cheers,
Justin

hi justin,
any luck finding an astir owner? i have been looking at their bikes too and they are reasonably priced compared to some others on the market. they look good too with good quality components. he seems to have gotten a few customers as his "wait time" has increased, however i haven't found an online review of the bikes yet. i have emailed him for pricing and he is pretty prompt with responses.
it is a fair chunk of change to put down without knowing anything about the brand.

About 10 months ago I had just finished Amy,s ride from Adelaide to McLaren Vale and was walking around the bikes having a drool , and the one that stood out for its clean pure lines and evident excellent build quality was an Astir, so as I was drooling over the beautiful Ti frame the bikes owner came over and introduced himself as the builder and said he was just starting the business.
Nice guy to chat to with an excellent knowledge of Ti construction.
In all honesty , if I had the cash, I would have put down a deposit on the spot.
Cheers
