Hi guys. Only been riding for 12 mths and got myself a Giant Defy 1 New last year. But now started racing and riding more so looking at upgrading. Heading to Sydney in 6 weeks and been looking at Specalized and Cannondale. I know it will depend on the ride but just wanted to get ideas in regards to brands. I like the Dale but mates keep telling me Sworks so now im confused. Anyonetried both. Any suggestion s to bike shops. I want to a propper fit this time.
Thanks Adam

Very hard to get a dud bike in the $5k+ region, all things being equal they're both as good as each other. I'd choose the bike you like the most and the shop selling it. You want a good shop to take it back for any issues/servicing/convenience.

If you are at the CBD area, check out Kent street and Clearence street. Few bike shops at that area.
Giant is somwhere nearer towards Town Hall.

There are 4 bike shops on Clarence St - starting at Town Hall/QVB end and walking north, there is Giant Sydney, then Atelier De Velo (Focus/Bianchi/Cervelo), then Clarence St Cyclery (Trek), then Jet Cycles (Specialized).
City Bike Depot is down on Kent St and sells Cannondale/GT/some others I can't remember.
