BH MTB

I wouldn't mind getting a new Hard Tail and came across this BH Ultimate RC with XT/SLX mix at $1800 shipped unassembled;

Is that considered a bargain or just a decent price in amongst other hard tails on the market under $2k?

Very cheap for a CF frame, but I don't think I would buy another MTB without thru-axles. Wheels are low spec with old style free-wheel - it was updated on all Mavic higher spec wheels as it needed regular maintenance on an MTB.

The freewheel thing is just a terminology hangover. I was worried with my new kona, but they all have cassettes especially at that price range.

I woudl agree on the fork. You want a thru axle. Perhaps not as critical on a 26er XC machine, but you definitely want on a 29er (from experience :oops: ) and I guess the 650B is somewhere in between.
