Looking at getting some FSA bars.
Specs say 42cm c-c. Roger that.
It also says 2° outward bend.
Does that means the bars will be 42cm c-c at the bar ends, but less on the hoods?
Or do FSA do their c-c measurement from their hoods?
I ask because I want 42cm c-c at the hoods, and googling shows mixed opinions. I called lbs to measure but they don't have any in stock.
Little help?
The bars I am after are these:
Kwing compact.

I always thought it was the widest part meaning the bottom of the drop and 2 cm's narrower at the hoods, but I don't have a set to measure so am not 100%

Thanks danny, that's what I'm thinking too. $350 is a very expensive mistake to make, hence why I'm being a bit more thorough with spec scrutiny than normal.

With FSA they are measured c to c at the drops, so with the outwards angled drops the width is roughly 2cm narrower at the hoods. Ask me how I found this out!

Thanks. Some FSA bars have a 4° outward bend, some have 2° outward, which is why I thought they may measure at the hoods. Thanks for setting it straight.

Most brands measure c-c at the bar ends. The only way to know for sure is to put a tape measure on it.
I've got some Zipp bars that were sold as 42cm that measure 40cm c-c at the ends.
