Limar helmet - spare parts

Postby digbyj » Sat May 09, 2015 4:16 pm

Hi All,
I managed to pop one of the plastic clips off, on the back of my Limar777 (same as 757).
It's one of the clips that allows the plastic cage at the back to pivot to suit ur head shape.
I couldn't find it and now have a perfectly good helmet missing a 5c clip.
I might try and contact Lunar or the shop but thought I'd see if anyone might have a previously crashed helmet or have had similar happen?
Cheers

Bit of follow up here; contacted Limar - no response. Contacted the distributor who replied straight away and said they currently have no parts available for Limar helmets.
Guess I'll be buying a new - non Limar helmet :-(

I tried to find some replacement pads for my Limar helmet a while back and discovered what you have, namely that there are no spare parts available. Limar wants you to buy a new helmet (and they have a discounting strategy to encourage this). So I bought a Rudy Project helmet.

Maybe ebay - they have a number of different pad sets listed. May not be economic with shipping.

The first link is the old distributor who gave me details of the new distributor.
The second link had pads only, not other parts, thanks for trying though!

you cant just use another set e.g this one and do some cutting? Or any other material which will stick to velcro. Limar padding in particular is pretty much not there anyway.

The original would be nicer, but if the alternative is getting a new helmet ....

personally I wear a hat or halo under my helmet and when my limar pads wore out I just ripped off the velcro dots so it didnt stick to anything.

Not sure if the last comment was for me as original poster, but my issue isn't with padding.

I managed to get in touch with Limar Italy through Facebook who sent me out the part. Good result but not a solid long term solution for Limar you would think.

Are they new distributors? Seems expensive for a set of pads!
