I do 80% of my riding on a TT bike, but need a cheapish road bike for when I do group rides. Spotted this 2011 Boardman on gumtree, just wondering what people think of the price. Advertised for $980, but she will take $800. Bike is 4 years old though.. although barely ridden. TIA

You can buy them brand new from Amart All Sport for $1700 with similar running gear.

So it will come down to if you are happy with a 4yo used bike or prepared to spend double for a brand new one.
From what I have seen and read, they are a reasonable solid unit.

$800 would be the absolute max I'd pay for that, and it would have to be pretty pristine. Aksiums and mostly 105 running gear is solid stuff but nothing special.

Having just researched and bought a bike with the same spec, the price of new carbon bikes with 105 and standard wheels are around $1600
A couple of things to consider -
The new bikes have 11 speed 105
Buying second hand, you generally won't get a warranty
If you are ok with that and it fits and rides ok, I think $800 is good buying.
