Recommend me some fingerless gloves

Postby flashpixx » Tue Aug 18, 2015 1:00 pm

Did a search but nothing came up

Been using Giro gloves which are great for comfort and fit but fall apart in 6 months!

Like the Giro Monaco http://www.bikebug.com/giro-monaco-glov ... 39421.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for design and comfort (gel padding).

I was going to say, if you're not going to buy African Hair Sheep leather, don't bother buying any gloves at all.

EDIT: I wear these.

About the only insight I can give you is that after a year and roughly 3,000km (~150 hrs), they don't look like coming apart anytime soon. They've survived a few hand washes in that time too.

I quite like GripGrab gloves - http://www.gripgrab.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I have both the EasyRider and ProGel in short fingered gloves.

Going to give these a try in a couple of weeks. Liked the reviews.

The Rapha gloves looked nice until I saw the price. hey might be nice but that is excessive.

The Altura look ok from Wiggle.

I like the Galtani gloves but they only come in one size which is a pain as it really is too small:

I have some others but can't remember the brand. There looked like some decent fingerless gloves on a few sites, cyclechic.co.uk looked to have some decent gloves, might check them out.

Try these ones:

Castelli Arenberg. The Specialized ones seem pretty good too.

4Shaw Rennen (or even the Hellbent's if you are feeling flush) or the Ground Effect Quickdraw would be my go to fingerless gloves these days. Used to use Fox Reflex - comfy but fragile.
Ours is not to reason why...merely to point and giggle

Thanks all

I have smallish hands so experience tells I should try before I buy. Off to a spec LBS this arvo for some Holy Grail of cycling gloves - if I can negotiate the Nights who say NI!! :P

Greetings.
SA and WA getting Aldi soon.
Aldi has got some $10 gloves on Weds 30th. Got no complaints with them after 6months use. I had some UK brand about 3-4 years back with kevlar panels that lasted for a couple of years before the Aldi's, were around $30.(TUFF- I think the brand was) Have not seen them around any more though.

Another vote for the Grail gloves. Just got some last week and all good so far. I to have just had a pair of Giro come apart after 6 months.

My Giro Bravo gloves have lasted 3+ years at 200-350 km's a week.
I don't know how but they refuse to die.

my experience with giro monaco is they ripped after washing as I didn't take care of them like the leather gloves they are. Lesson learnt, if I get leather gloves I have to take care of them a little differently.

I moved to a giro padding free glove, giro ltz gloves, which are different type of gloves, but I am kinda glad the monaco's ripped cause I do much prefer the padding less gloves.
