Tokyo Bike Bisou wheel size
Postby ryanscott1991 » Tue Sep 01, 2015 2:08 pm
Hey guys, I've just recently bought a Tokyo Bike (frame only) and am in the market for a wheelset. The Bisou runs 26" wheels which is a good thing considering the availability of 26" tyres however I'm confused as to the hub spacing. It has 118mm between the rear dropouts which has left me stumped as to what standard they are using. It should be running a 7 speed cassette, I'm just not sure how they squeeze it in there. Any suggestions?

Was it packed with a spacer to hold the dropouts apart?
Frames have been known to get squeezed somewhere in the transport process.
I'd expect a 7 spd cassette to be on a 126mm OLD hub.
Cheers,
Cameron

I bought it second-hand but as far as I can tell from the naked eye it looks to be aligned. I live near Tokyo Bike so might head down and ask him I can take a measurement.
I agree with 7 Speed 126mm sounds right although the frame would only be a couple of years old so that would be a little odd.
Of course it is steel, so there's the possibility of adjusting the spacing.
