From my research I do believe the bottecchia emme 2 was built in "Sarto Antonio" factory for Bottecchia under licence. But this info was not from an official source.

If so very pleased about that, does anyone else know of any info to cross reference this fact?

Cheers

Sounds right to me.

The Bottecchia frames produced in Italy carry these frame badges :-

The Bottecchia frames made in Asia do not carry these badges.

Rest easy, your bike has genuine Italian credentials.

Cheers,

It has on the chain stay written in Italian, hand made in italy. The shop I am buying it from sold it new and said it was a 5.5k frame and confirmed it is italian made, it is also stated in the ad. I was just trying to determine if it was a Sarto Antonio frame. :)

Thanks so much.
