Have a Defy Adv Pro, with a good alloy rim DT Swiss wheel set, but its heavy... Looking for carbon rims, straight pull spokes (24 each end ideal) and good hubs in the 1500-1600 gram range.
There are the chinese options, but what else might I be missing...?

Ok, so these aren't carbon nor straight-pull, but they're light and reviewed well here - http://www.huntbikewheels.com/collectio ... 7930232515" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I'm eyeing these as a potential upgrade for my CX bike.

Light Bicycles should be able to cobble something together for you at a very reasonable price. I have a set of their mountain bike rims on my race day wheelset and they are excellent.
They get a really good rap from the local wheel builders near where I live for quality and after-sales support, and I have only heard of one breakage where the rider cased the back wheel into the lip of the landing ramp on a jump. When I go disc for my next roadie they will be on the shopping list.
