It's actually old news, but I just found out that Wahoo have announced the "ELEMNT" GPS bike computer which looks like it should fit somewhere between the Edge 520 and 810, feature-wise. The thing that I'm most excited about is that it's not made by Garmin, so the software and user interface might not be a giant pile of poo.

Nifty features include integration with Strava and RideWithGPS, both for uploading rides when you're done and pulling down routes. Comes preloaded with OpenStreetMap of the entire world. All kinds of smartphone connectivity options for us Gen Y kiddies.
Supposedly available in January 2016.

Polar are starting to come back into the game as well.
cateye and lezyne are coming out with the lower cost/less feature ones too.
