I am after a bike that probably is not in existence. Cyclocross frame ; minus the drop bars ; instead , with flat bars . I find flat bar more comfy and do not wish to pay for the roadie shifters. But I want room for 32mm tyres and carbon forks as a minimum. I want the gearing of the road bike and at least 105 equipment. Where is this bike available.

Something like the splesh sirrus - https://www.specialized.com/au/en-au/bi ... bon/106253
carbon 105, comes with 30mm tires might be able to go bigger.

Aus motorists are safe to kill a cyclist at any time & confident that they will be protected from any serious penalties.

Depends how much you have to spend, maybe build up a 29er and buy some rigid carbon forks?

That's not hard...Merida Speeder in either 500 (alloy Ultegra) or 3000 (carbon Tiagra) spec
Ours is not to reason why...merely to point and giggle
