Postby liamb » Mon Sep 19, 2016 10:20 am

Hi All

I know Token make a 11 Speed Cassette that fits on 10 Speed hubs. I have done a few hours of Google work but I cant find any located in Australia.
Anyone out there seen one and or know where to get in in Australia??

What are you trying to fit to Bill ? I'm running 11 speed cassettes on shimano 10 speed hubs, they're pretty easy to sort out.

So what have you done to make them fit ? Machine the hub or the back of the cassette ?

Oh, and which '10 sp hubs' ?

Shimano's true 10-sp. hubs are a rare thing, and will ONLY accept Dura-Ace, Ultegra and 105 10-sp. cassettes. These beasties have a deeper spline, and a shorter freewheel body than the the more familiar 8/9/10-sp. hub, which is why those cassettes need a 1mm spacer when fitted to non-10-sp.-specific hubs.
I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.

Shimano RS-80 wheels, have machine the freehub, added clearance to the back of the cassette and removed material from the front face of the hub shell.

Token may not have yet settled on a new distributer. They were handled by JetBlack and you may find some left over stock but the last I know is that a new distributer was not yet settled.

Best option may be to look overseas, there are plenty of of distributers and retailers overseas if you know exactly what you need.

cheers guys

I have possible access to a 2nd hand 1 in SA but I was hoping for new. The rims I am trying to fit it to are Sram s30 rims and it looks like I cant really machine enough off without causing other interference problems.
