Looking for a fast bike in between 400-500$

Postby Kebab squad » Wed Nov 16, 2016 4:04 pm

I was thinking of getting the
(flight city 3 hybrid bike)
.it has disk brakes
.24 gears
.shimano gearing setup
And is a good bike for my circumstances

I ride to school and home (8km) every day and need something that would last me so I'm asking for any recommendations.

A bike's speed is determined by the rider.
I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.

What type of surface will you riding on the road, concrete bike paths, gravel tracks?

Is the route flat or hilly?

Is it heavy traffic (cars on the road or pedestrains and other cyclists on paths)?

Are there lots of intesections?

Will you ride in all conditions (ie rain)?

What do you need to carry to school and how will you carry it? backpack, pannier etc?

Without knowing these things, it is hard to make a recommendation.

I agreed with koshari, unless you are riding off road (and I mean more than flat smooth gravel or limestone paths) you do not need suspension. It adds weight, cost, complexity and extra effort on most road surfaces.
