Bib Shorts - are Cycology bibshorts any good ?
Postby MichaelB » Mon Jan 16, 2017 2:48 pm
Hi all,
Looooove teh Cycology range of gear and have a few jerseys and think whilst not cheapies, fill the great value proposition really well.
Love many of their t-shirts as well, but am in the market for some new bib-shorts, and seeking some reviews/feedback.
Typically happy with Sugoi RS, Castelli Free Aero & variants (with Progetto X2 pad), Assos S5 and some others.
Have found that dhb are comfy, i haven't had the longevity out of them that I'd like.
Let me know any thoughts and other options.
ta

Agree, some are great, and others a bit too 'tattoo-ish' for me.P!N20 wrote:The prices seem pretty good to me, some of the designs, however...
If only some of their t-shirt designs were jerseys .....

I've got both types of the black with white logo's and the black with black logos (don't run the really busy ones). The two I've got are different cuts, the black on black are the most comfortable and are my usually daily pair when I'm not wear club riding gear.
I told my dad to get a pair before he cycled down the west coast of the US late last year. He took those and a pair of Skins cycling bibs....ended up tossing the skins in the bin.

Thanks for the info.ADF_Sutto wrote:I've got both types of the black with white logo's and the black with black logos .....
OK, so are one of them the "compression" ones ?
How do you rate them compared to others that you have used ?
I guess I'm comparing them to the Santini TDU ones that are available here for $159 (as a guide).
TIA

I've got Pedal Mafia, Cuore, Triple Play (team kit), etc....the non compression Cycology bibs is just as comfortable as the others when it comes to all day wear on the bike. I've got the compression bibs too, but find I can't wear them all day.MichaelB wrote:Thanks for the info.ADF_Sutto wrote:I've got both types of the black with white logo's and the black with black logos .....

I would recommend AM Cycling shorts. They are perfect on long distances. The pad fits very nice, it's soft and resilient. Also cuffs are wide.
They ship from Europe so you need to wait even two weeks.

I have not heard of AM - they don't reveal the country of original/manufacture but it appears to be Polish. I understand however that the OP was asking about Cycology knicks. As a local Australian brand (based in Sydney), delivery within Australia is quite fast.Kosu wrote:I would recommend AM Cycling shorts. They are perfect on long distances. The experience with retailers / brands from overseas is that the big online retailers are fast whereas smaller retailers and brands tend have longer shipping times.
