Buying a cyclocross bike

Postby oomjan » Tue Mar 14, 2017 7:53 am

I'm struggling to decide between 2 cyclocross bikes. Let me know your opinions. I can get them at the same price:

Scott Speedster CX10

Giant TCX SLR2

Provided you've checked the geo and either suits you....

The Scott has mostly Shimano groupset (albeit a mix inc cranks) and hydro discs, and slightly lower bottom-end gearing (11-32 cassette).

If it was me I'd probably go for the Scott.

Looks to be about $450 more RRP for the Scott from what I can see? If you can get the Scott for the price of the TCX it seems rather good value.
