Does the Checkout borrow these items or do they actually go and buy them? The show must have a pretty good budget... or a good garage sale to fund the christmas party...

A lot weren't the real items.
Plus they would have a lot of well paid cyclists on staff to borrow from.

The one that gets me is the Cateye front light, $1400?! Really? Sure it's got 6,500 lumens but damn!

Some of the items are just ridiculous, but someone obviously buys them.

My LOL one is the Suunto watch - $1100  I thought the Garmin 1030 was overpriced !!

Really? Looked real enough to me and I was also wondering how they acquired - a big job for their project manager. It is possible that they involved a props supplier who in turn purchase and supply as a short loan.

Seeing it full screen on TV made it obvious how many items weren't genuine (nearly all of them).

The garmin varia was just a book light of some sort. The Aston Martin bike appeared to be a grey bike with the Aston Martin logo on the down tube.
