Bike Europe reports the recall of all 6000 SLADDA bikes sold globally - no fix or replacement is provided just a full refund (no receipt required).
A technical defect was that the belt drives were snapping and it can't be repaired. It is appears (speculation) that the belts were not the Gates Carbon Belt Drive rather were noisier, not as smooth and possibly an own production from IKEA (TBC) and as an affordably targeted product, couldn't meet the quality of the Gates product.

Living 300mtrs from Ikea combined with the bike being for sale directly next to the coffee shop I have probably seen this bike more than anyone else who owns one. Having said that I am yet to see one on the road. For whatever reason they have not transformed the public to riding bikes
If the R-1 rule is broken, what happens to N+1?

"Unrepairable Snapping Belt Drive" ... there is something catchy about the sound of that .... "yeah I could never get back with my ex .... they are an unrepairable snapping belt drive."
