Yes, Strael is a very cool bike, and the standard components are spot-on. The 105 build has hydraulic brakes. It's almost perfect, I'd probably just upgrade to the Hunt 4 season wheelset, and there's nothing left to do. Perfect.

3 month wait though, so a bit of an exercise in patience. VAT free for non EU purchases, but it's even stevens in the end, by the time customs handling and GST is sorted at this end.

Looks like exactly what I've been looking for though, and at around A$3,500 all in after shipping and taxes, not too much for an outstanding machine.

For anyone looking for a disk, steel (double butted 4130), gravelly (37mm) drop bar bike, Wiggle has the
Vitus Substance (w/ Tiagra) for $1120. Not bad at the price point. Supports rear racks but mudguards might be a challenge.
