Address forwarding services

Have any of you investigated address forwarding services as an option to ship items to Australia from vendors that would not normally ship to Australia? I'm considering signing up to one, but I want to choose the vendor carefully, and do a bit of research on them beforehand.

Thanks to the Australian government and Amazon, I can no longer shop on amazon.com, but instead get forced to use amazon.com.au instead. This is a major nuisance, because the .au site has nowhere near the range of products. Sometimes I feel like I'm living in a really backwards country.

One example of an address forwarder is http://www.borderlinx.com/AU/en/pages/b ... australia/ . They specifically claim that I can buy on amazon.com and ship to Australia using their service (although they did mention there may be issues with using an Australian credit card), so I (hopefully) don't have to resort to complicated measures such as getting a non-Australian credit card, and/or using a VPN.

For US stuff, I set up an account with the Aust Post US site. Have used it a number of times.
