Hi all
Anyone here use non genuine Shimano Cleats (SPD-SL yellow) that are available on Ebay and some other online stores? I seem to wear out the genuine Shimano's pretty quickly, particularly the left foot as it's the one I unclip the most for stopping at lights etc.
Thanks
CJ

Yes I've used them, not as good as the proper Shimano ones, hard to explain why, they just don't clip in or out as well. I won't buy them again.

I remember a thread on these. The OP was asking why his cleats were breaking.

Thanks. I thought as much, I'm sticking with the genuine.
Cheers

Closest ones that I've found OK are the Lifeline ones (red) sold by Wiggle.

The crappy ones on ebay are a different size (only slightly), very different plastic (much harder) and are just cheap junk. I tried them for two short rides

I've used the Lifeline ones before and found that they don't last as long as well. The grey wear indicator (on the front of the cleat) started to come off on my first set. I'm on the second now so will see how they hold up.
