Specialised transition comp
Postby Pilbo baggins » Wed Jun 13, 2018 4:56 pm
Hi. I'm contemplating buying a specialized transition comp for $740. But I don't know that much about them. Or if they have a range of transition como Models. I am reasonably new to cycling and not that knowledgeable. The guy selling can't really tell me that much about it either. Anyone help me?

I was born in Como. Spent the first four years of my life on Labouchere Road. There is a Mormon (Church of Latter Day Saints of Jesus Christ) chapel on the east side of the hill on that road, and when Mormons die prematurely they have a word for it, which is close in meaning to 'transition'. I believe it is what they call 'translation' but I don't know if they believe that there are bicycles involved. Como used to be a much friendlier place to live when I was young, so maybe that chapel has been sold off to the media now. I can't afford the bother to check out how that place is now. All I have are the memories.

Specialized Transition is a Time Trial or Triathlon bike, not really meant to be used commuting to work or general riding (it could be if you really want to but just saying there are other types of bikes that are better for doing these rides)

I am attempting my first tri next month. And the rides I do are just me out riding. I was more wondering about the price, is it a good deal?

I think that link works. I don't know that much about bikes, so if anyone can give me an idea of what it is worth, I would be very grateful. apparently he had a bike shop put it together, but looks like a bit of a mash up, being a tri tt bike with normal roadie bars. any input welcome. thanks in advance

What year model is it? Is it carbon frame or aluminium? What is the groupset and the wheels?Pilbo baggins wrote:I am attempting my first tri next month. And the rides I do are just me out riding. I was more wondering about the price, is it a good deal?
$740 isn't too bad if it's decent and doesn't need work.
I see a NOS 2014 model advertised on Bike Exchange for $1299 -https://www.bikeexchange.com.au/a/road- ... /102382708

The guy doesn't know that much about it. I think it's aluminium, it's got ultegra, and I'm guessing around 2013 model.
