Oh just made this little change.....removed the old black chainstay decal and replaced it with this NOS Suntour one!

Ok thanks, that probably explains it then. Bathroom scales are notoriously inaccurate for this type of measurement. They're often not very accurate in the sub 10kg range.8Track wrote:No Idea mate! Measure it with some accurate luggage scales and you'll prolly get closer to 10 kg (which is still great BTW).
Alternatively, measure your weight on the scales a few times - take the average. Then measure the weight of you holding the bike a few times - take the average. Subtract the two.

Happy to report that I received the BDOP Cycling offset pad holders on Friday. These have allowed me to use the GPX calipers on the 700c wheels and the fit is perfect! Here are some shots:

well done 8T, they look much better than I thought they would, and is nice to see the groupset whole again.

Hi 10Speed,
The brakes feel pretty good. There is no lag between the lever at the bar and the caliper action - instantaneous!
They also clamp down on both sides of the wheel evenly - no favouring of one side over the other.
Stopping power definitely improved over the old Blaze calipers.

Is it just friction from the 1 bolt/screw & nothing else?
Trying to mockup similar but I'm needing longer extension, say 20-30mm.
Leverage is bigger & there's no way 1 bolt is going to hold reliably just under friction.
Thinking of making the "T" stem longer to fit 2 bolts top & bottom of each caliper arm's slot,
hoping that'll key it in enough to resist twisting force.
