Looks like funding from the LNP state government, supported by the Greens' Jamie Parker.
Still much more needed to link those areas to Sydney Olympic Park and Parramatta though.

Interesting that the inner west clowncil weren't invited to the photo-op. If they are excluded from the the design or construction, it should have half a chance of being useful
