WHOSE STEALING OUR BIKES?????

Postby KINGHOSEM » Wed Jun 22, 2011 10:17 pm

Fellow bike riders- and people buying used bikse-beware you might be riding someone elses bike

I had my bike stolen from my unit bloke on the 5th & 6th june 2011 from the neutral bay area, and have heard
Off numerous other bikes being stolen from the lower north shore, northern beaches and inner city.-

The thief or thieves are simply following us bike owners into the building and cutting our chains and taking
Away our pride and joy

Where the hell are they going? Mine hasnt appeared on ebay, gumtree, trading post, pawn shops or anywhere else i can think of,
So where is it, whose selling them, and where are they being stored.

Seeking community assistance so we can all get our bikes back.

I guess call crime stoppers 1800 333 000 or the local cop shop with info - we all want our bikes back

Why don't you post some details about your stolen bike.

In NSW when pawning goods the Pawnbroker must provide you with a minimum 3-month loan period.

If your bike was stolen and pawned, it probably won't be in the Pawn Shop on display with a for sale sign until the loan has expired.

Pawn Shops & Loan Offices don't always sell the pawned goods in their shop, sometimes they send them off to a Auctioneer. I've seen a few nice bikes at these auctions.

The NSW Police have Unclaimed Property Auctions every now and then which can consist of: lost property, recovered (stolen) & unclaimed property from Police raids, goods bought from the proceeds of crime, ect. They always have a lot of bikes at these auctions.

There's what looks to be a nice mountain bike in the following story that will eventually end up at a Police Auction if no one claims it.

I just heard cops from manly and northern beaches busted some crooks and found 20-30 bikes of various kinds.

Mine was a 2007 trek 6300 red and white in colour with TORa u shoxs and disc brakes

Dam my bike wasnt one of those found in the manly raids.

I guess all we should keep a look out for is the stereo typical "drugo" , with no values riding expensive bikes
