27.2 seatpost and I think it's a 60's/70's frame so I am guessing Reynolds tubes, but happy to be corrected. Beautiful headstem..I have a double crown fork on the way from Moldova, and there's a Gnutti headset on it now which suits the frame I think. Both destined for rechroming at Vinci Platers. Other componentry suggestions welcomed....

Most likely Columbus 531-Competition tubing, as that what most common and used in Eddie's shop,
at that time (60's/70's) from my observation, and recollection. :)

I had Sugino Track cranks, at an earlier stage, then went to early '70's Track Campag.
Cinelli steel drop stem, with Cinelli Steel Track bars.

Good luck with your re-build.

Nice cheap rebuild for me then...

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. I am chuffed to know it might be Columbus, now to start forking out far too much money for the 60's and 70's components... So was this your bike?

I'm guessing you mean Reynolds as they used the 531 nomenclature?

Columbus- Yes and might have been PS or PL Grade, me used 531 "naming",
as that was an understood standard, at the time, from my recollection...
as in competiton standards for tubing for racing frames.
The buy you got was not mine, AFAIK, and the lugs in the headtube are different, as you can see.
Pity, you didn't get the original forks, as you would have probably had the round front forks (for Track),
which came in the Columbus tube set, and may have ended up with the double-crown (like mine)
Finding those 60's/70's parts may now be the hard part.
May have a BB, depending on which way you go with the cranks (Sugino, Sakae, Stonglight or Campag)?
Cheers
