I am coming to Darwin during the week of the 12th to the 17th of August and staying at the Rydges near the airport.
Anyone got any suggestions on some good rides in the area?

Hi jcjordan,
I have just found out that it looks like I will be up there for work for 3 weeks starting next week. I will send you a PM if it all goes ahead as i will be taking my bike with me.
Cheers,
Heay.

When I'm in Darwin, I tend to ride from the city centre along Mitchell St to Cullen bay. Then ride past the casino, up to East Point. From there I ride along Dick Ward Drive to Nightcliff and then Casuarina and then back. No real hills at all but the ride is basically following the beach. Watch out for utes with bull bars, they tend to aim for cyclists

A ride out to Berry Springs would be nice. Ooo, this is on the 12th:

Also, check out Darwin cycling club's website for rides. They have social rides on Saturday mornings.
