Did it again this year. Much nicer weather than last year, plus I was bit better prepared for the last 30km of the ride. Hitting Melville ave with a bit over 100km in the legs is unpleasant, although at least it's briefly unpleasant!

I was caught off guard in 2015 as I thought we'd be riding all the way up Queens Park Rd like in the WC's. I'm pleased I've done double digit speed up there (once which was Saturday!) for my pb, though a long way to go for me to 9 seconds.

Ahhh right, coming down hill. You'd want to hope there's no cars coming out of Melville though

Avoid school times and youre a pretty safe bet, oncoming traffic would be the bigger challenge but the single lane bridge helps

Not ashamed to say I walked the 19%, lack of training exposed me significantly. Still managed to average 26.6 though, was happy with that part.

I didn't walk, grinded it out in 28T back end 34 in the front (looking forward to my new 32T rear cassette). But I only averaged 26.4km/ overall. Well done mate! [emoji3]

Yep, same with me last year - 34 x 28 managed to drag my 108 up that cliff-face!

I think I may have to get my bum into gear and do this again next year.
