Yeah Caleb got shunted out which was a shame. Great back end speed by Jacobsen, perfect timing. Hopefully Caleb’s turn today.

Also had his chain come off and jam.

And wouldn’t you know it. Another damn Gabrielle again.

DRIVES ME NUTS !!

I’m watching a bike race, not frigging MasterChef.

The B&B duo got taught a lesson on Stage 2.

Hopefully Caleb or Groenewegen have a better day today

Sorry for the spoil, but for a change it's good news !!!

Look away if you haven't watched it yet !!

A day off whilst the head back to Frog soil and another lumpy sprinters stage.

Well good news fro BEX, in the Groenewegen won the stage (and that helps heaps with the relegation battle), but the flipside is that Caleb got squeezed and had to back off to avoid crashing (will have to watch again closely to see myself).

You wonder if Caleb is, at least partially, being deliberately squeezed. He is a small rider and has significant top end speed. It removes a strong contender from the line. Perhaps he needs a Mark Renshaw type leadout man that aint going to be bullied.

He does seems to be getting in the spots that close. Not that Sagan was too happy either with how the sprint played out. Nice to see the Aussie team get a win.

I reckon Caleb Ewen is good for a win IF he can find a clear line!

"He chose poorly"

Groenewegen chose wisely and he also had the pace. Caleb got double squeezed, 1st by WvA pushing Sagan anad Caleb, and the Sagan then pushing Caleb to try and get around WvA.

It must be crushing to spend hours only for the last 100m to undo all that work because of outside issues ...

You could try watching on the app if you have a device that will do it.

Yeah I stream from SBS on demand app. Seems to work pretty well and it starts earlier and doesn't have the interruptions.

Got lots of photos to share, met many riders and journo’s incl. Phil Ligget (NBC), SBS commentators, Danish and German commentators. Said g’day to Cadel Evans.

With all the work, didn’t see any racing which is ironic.. but good fun. Epic effort to get back and hopefully can now pick up a few stages on TV.

Just zipped through last nights s
tage.

What a final 12km !!!

Great result. Looking fwd to the cobbles tonight

Lille to Arenberg and a mini Paris-Roubaix in reverse, right down to using some of the spring classic’s cobbled sectors backwards. Now the Tour’s borrowed the pavé many times but this year it’s got stones galore and way harder sectors than usual Tour “lite” visits. So on top of the usual “should the Tour use the pavé?” articles on the day, expect “did they have to pick such tough sectors?” variants. Will it rain?

Great finish to the stage. No joy for the sprinters, even if they thought there was, which was pretty hilarious.

Tough stage, not just the cobbles but the speed they rode - Clarke won at 48.7 km/h.

Some surprising results - Jacobson will be well pleased with 8th, clawing back some points for green. Similarly Nairo Quintana did super well for a lightweight climber

Starting to watch now, but read the headlines before.

Well done to Simon C, but only know scant details of the rest so far. Will keep watching through the day.

I'm amazed that he rode the remaining 30km and 9 cobbled sectors after putting back in a dislocated shoulder himself

And last nights stage was another topsy turvy one again !

Pog's amazing ! Beating MM in an uphill sprint

I suspect Roglic's dislocated his shoulder a few times before.

Darn straight about a weird stage - Van Aert decides it's too hard to stay with the bunch so goes hunting for a break.

I wonder if Pog is hoping Powless will take yellow so EF Ed work to control the breaks.

Oh & Froomay continued his slow inevitable decline, shedding another 5:37. Finishing 89th on the stage was enough to make up 9 places on GC, so he's now only 71st.

At least some of the gaps were from crash in last 10km. Froome is not really targeting GC so pushing for every last second does not make sense. It will be interesting to see how he fares in the mountains.
Pogacar looks unbeatable.
Ineos strong with 4 of top 8, will interesting to see if they can make any impact.

Seems like Froome isn’t pushing, or just isn’t capable.

As to whether he can win anything again ? If it was solely based on belief and effort yes. Actual performance. No

Watching the finish, looks like MM got boxed in a bit and was in the wrong gear when Pog launched.
