Unfortunately - quick-step has taken a hit with most of the team out with Covid
Cycling is in my BNA

And whilst it wasn’t a wet as before, still the rain and other issues claimed several more, with a few crashes.

Sadly TGH is out with a fractured hip !

And it’s so wet in Italy atm, they’ve even cancelled the F1 GP !!!

Fingers crossed for safer racing from here on !

Another stage ticked off.

Will there be some firewalls tonight or will there be even more rain ????

Was hoping for a Mads and Matthews showdown but that didn’t happen

The GC race has certainly been dull to date as they all seem to be waiting for the big stages and even the uphill TT.

Must have been nice to be warm for a change!!

Normally the Giro is my favourite of the GTs. Not really living up to expectation this time. I enjoyed the stage on the Amalfi coast for the scenery. Most others have just been rain... whichl would be OK if the racing was good. There have been some good battles within breakaways and between breakaway and Peleton, but nothing going on yet with GC.

I'm still getting over the shock of seeing riders putting on leg warmers while climbing. Don't know what shocked me more
  • The need for leg warmers up a steep climb
  • the co-ordination to put them on while riding
  • the capacity to do that whilst going up a steep climb
Anything you can do, I can do slower

+1 - think it's a by-product of a very close GC and big last week. If the top5 gaps were minutes, reckon it would be different.

And replacing SRAM RD battery whilst descending at speed

Two whole weeks of rain :(.
But looking forward to Roglic vs Thomas (and anyone else) in the mountains. Surely the Welsh goat can't beat Primoz.

Commentator said that mountain stage was 202km and "over 5500m" of elevation. That is mental.

Thank goodness the next stage profile is gently downhill the entire way!!!

Can G hold on ?

Can Almeida crack G and Rog ?

Will Rog find his legs and demolish the Stage 20 ITT

Looking fwd to Friday’s stage !!

Great stage last night and even a bit of GC action.

Jayco have had a great outcome so far with the Giro and should get some great points for UCI out of it.

Dunbar is riding really well for them

Looking fwd to tonight and tomorrow!!!

It was an interesting stage last night. Jayco still sits at 18th place in UCI points but places 14-18 close. Final standings points will help.

I'm missing your point - he rides for Jayco-AIUIa & was 3rd on stage 8 so it's not like he came out of nowhere.

Or are you thinking they confused him with Fillipo Ganna who rides for Ineos, but dropped out before stage 8?

Gotta feel a little sorry for Pinot, though he comes across as a whiny nose-in-the-air Frenchie a little.

Yeah, great Tour for Jayco! Bling nearly held off all comers for a second win yesterday.

Hopefully we'll get a good finale. Gunna be hard for the champ to pull back an in-form Gerraint.

Ah that makes sense - as a never was I've always thought it must be hardest to be close but not quite there. Pinot has made a career out of it, with a career highlight of 3rd in le tour

Great stage to Tre Cime Lavaredo. Great win and looks like the GC is decided.

Hepburn ride was great. Was he called back to help Dunbar at the end ?

Uphill TT will be interesting
