I recently gave Evans another chance after they stuffed up my last order. (When I contacted them for clarification about a product I wanted to buy, they just reaffirmed the web description (which was wrong). I could tell no one had bothered to actually look at the product). This time, I needed some bar tape and the £5 voucher they gave me as an apology for last time just covered shipping. Took them 8 days to post the tape but transit time was relatively short. When the tape arrived, it was a different colour to the photo on their site, and the plugs were missing (despite being included in the web description). Sent them a complaint and just got a standardised letter explaining how to return a product. Not happy, and won't be using them again. The major problem seems to be with them failing to update their web descriptions and photos.

I placed an order at Pushys at 11:42am. I needed a new pair of wheels, unfortunately shipping via AusPost was $18 (found a $22 discount code) so I was expecting to get it tomorrow morning as I work in the city. I got a buzz from my mailroom that there's a large delivery waiting for me at 3:00pm.

I'm absolutely gobsmacked, that is some incredible service.

I think our Australian online stores have been listening to feedback and recognise where they can out perform the OS shops. Kudos to Bike Bug, Pushys et al for great service.

My recent experiences are that the Australian on-line shops perform no better than overseas. On a more positive note, they have sharpened their prices and are more competitive now than years gone by.

So I was after a saddle bag. Found it at an Australian online shop. Called them to check stock and they said they would order it in. Went and picked it up today. As I checked it on the way to the car I discovered it was the wrong model. So I took it back and got my money back. The sales guy in a bit of a huff tells me it was my mistake since I asked for the 1 litre size and that's what he ordered in. No it wasn't, it's a different model (the addition of "Plus" after the model name may have been a give- away) which is 1.5/2l (that's what the manufacturer web site says). The service up to that point was great. The sales guy was helpful and called me as promised when the order arrived. Now, the key test of service is when things go wrong. It's not a good idea to blame the customer for ordering the wrong model. Total fail.

made two orders from velogear with discount codes. 1 of each item and both shipped with no complaints. they seem to have a lot of discount codes around, 10-15% off easily, or $10 off (sometimes no min spend, or $39)

both shipped no problem :)

oh, and the price at my LBS, literally double.

Have bought a fair bit over the years through planetx.co.uk. One whinge I have to have is about their customer service. In 2014 I ordered a Smart Lunar 35 Lux front bike light (pictured on their web-site was the old 2010 version that has a magnifying lens and is bigger than the current model)
Thought I would get what was pictured...Instead they sent me the smaller current model. Whilst the current model is still good, I thought I would have got the pictured product.

I sent screen shots of both products and explained what had happened. They refused to acknowledge the problem.
There was just a bunch of to and fro emails....
Eventually I gave up.
They are really reasonably priced though.

21 days and still waiting here... I've shot off an email today. It usually arrives the next day when I do that - some sort of weird karma!
