Concept has been around a while but yet to be perfected.

An interesting concept of a hammock/tent combination. The Kammock. Their original model the Sundra seems to have reasonable reviews and they have a Kickstarter for their Sundra 2 model due out in November 2020. Its packed weight is 2.63 kg. Looks a little bulky to me but still, the idea of a dual option is appealing.

The best hammocks for sleeping are the ones that enable you to lay diagonally to the centre line. These "air suspended bed platforms" (with the broad, rigid lengths at the head and the feet) are more easier to tumble out of.

I did get that impression from this one. Apparently there is another brand which does allow for a diagonal sleeping position.

I spotted the link on the CGOAB site and couldn't resist sharing to add a little humour to the thread.

Oh, Looks good. Must. Not. Go Matchy-Matchywith the other Rev stuff.....
But, if you are looking for something like that check out Mont clearance on now.
I picked up the travel wallet and doc wallet for more or less the same thing. Yet to take it out of the wrapping but they will be stashed with a few tools in a duck canvas pouch I made up. Found keeping the red cross vac booklet and records safe and dry can be pest, so hope these will work.

and G'day to you too baabaa, back from the South Atlantic?

I run a business and like to make a profit too but as I continue to mature I seem to get more & more frugal, (or maybe I am just getting more grumpy), I find it increasingly difficult to believe I am not ripped off by the prices on much of the bike packing and related stuff, a lot of bike related stuff too, especially after it has been through the hands of an Australian distributor and retailer. Was looking longingly at some Apidura stuff but oh my the prices! and they are just bags of various shapes.

The Mont stuff "on sale" prices looks closer to reasonable and they are AUD too but maybe I have too much stuff already and don't really need more?

Indeed I am Bill!.
Kinda stuck in one spot like the rest of the world. Had flights booked to go back to Sth Am on the 20th of March 2020; Lock down lotto winner, me. Will be the longest check-in the way things are going so 20/03/21 may work.

Yes, we are in a hard place as we make/ manufacture/ think so little here. Mont is a good crowd so I try and support them. Have a look at catcus outdoor in NZ? They do a little bit of bike stuff, is well made plus solid.
At least the aud is working it way back up. (I expect the usd will be stone like till Nov so if you could hold out a bit.....)
Even finding any time in the saddle a bit frustrating so I just keep planting native trees thinking it will help fight the virus, am running out of room in our various back yards. Look out for my eucalyptus camaldulensis vs covid-19 results, will be ready in 30 odd years.

In this modern frame bag age, especially with afoldable airport luggage design, it see.seems viable to me .... at least until you reach the 10k question. If you buy me one I will show you how to take it touring

Ditto - I think a dry bag I have + a few grunt straps would get me through short credit card touring adventures.

The Old Man Mountain Axle Pack is unlike any cargo mount we’ve seen before. It adds a three-pack of mount to forks without eyelets, including suspension forks! Find photos, specs, and all the essential details here…
