Hi Ron,
I have (nearly) successfully mounted the Logo evo rack now. I ordered the extension kit from Abbotsford Cycles who slightly modified it for me with the rack now fitting. The only issue is one nut hits the disc mount so it is a couple of degrees off horizontal. I will get a smaller bolt and nut and all should be fine
I am going to resurrect my old 26" cromo MTB (the bike I was going to toss and build a Salsa Marrakesh) and I think I will put the rack on that in the end. It still has blackburn low riders on the front. So looks like I am building two bikes now!
BTW my old Ortlieb don't fit that well on this rack on the lower mount. When on the lower mount the Ortlieb hook is at exactly the same level as the horizontal rail on the rack, but they work fine on the higher level. I guess the newer Ortliebs have a rotating hook but I wonder how well that works if the rail is still at the same height as the pannier rail.

I use the Cosmo which also has the lower rail and is pretty similar to the Logo. My Ortliebs do have a rotating hook but also have dual lower rails in a kind of fisheye arrangement. This works nicely particularly when you want to put a bag on top of the rack.
Maybe it's time to invest in new panniers.

Hi
I took the tubus Logo Evo rack for a third test run and I lost a spacer. The spacer clamps the horizontal stays to the rack on the Evo model. Essentially it is a steel cylinder that has the dimensions of 12.5 (ID) x 15 (OD) x 7.5(L) (mm). The local bearing shop may be able to supply a spare but wondering if anyone else has any suggestions? I wouldn't like to be in the back of nowhere and have to source one.
Thanks
Dave

Ask Tubus, there is a 5 year warranty on the rack. I don't know if they cover loss of parts but they might just be nice

Go to Clark Rubber.
Buy a 0.5m length of 13mm OD/10mm ID clear plastic aquarium tubing.
Cut up into 5-8cm lengths.
Slit each section lengthways and fit over the rack bars.
Fasten with cable ties.
Throw away those annoying spacers.

Thanks everyone,
Unfortunately I don't think I could claim the part under warranty.
Il Padrone it is not what you are describing, that's a different issue. It is a steel spacer/bush that locks the round stay onto the rack. The round stay is the bar that holds the top of the rack onto the seat stay.

Ah, OK. All parts should be available from Tubus or suppliers like SJS Cycles, bike24 etc.
Here's one.

Thanks...I am scared it will cost a bomb for such a small part...I will talk with Abbotsford Cycles. The bearing shop maybe able to get me a part for a couple of dollars.
