Ramondo bicycle

Postby nick_szutta » Tue Apr 04, 2017 3:38 pm

Hi everyone, I recently bought this ramondo push bike and plan on restoring it, I was wandering if anyone could please tell me some history( year, model, etc), and if anyone knows of somewhere I can get some stickers for the bike. Thankyou.

Are you expecting anyone giving you info without pics?

My useful info to you is "I don't know."
ID please? What ID? My seat tube ID is 27.2mm or 31.6mm depending on what bikes I ride today.thanks...

"Ramondo" Road Bike suggests it was from the era of stick an "o" at the end of a name and it is all class Italian.

I suspect you won't get replacement decals.
And don't get any ideas on renaming it Nicko as it is already taken

Hi Nat! It's always great when someone with a direct family connection can contribute to our cycling history. It would be good to know more please.

From memory, I think I've heard/seen over time that Ramondo Cycles operated in Melbourne (in the South-East/Mornington Peninsula area?). Not sure if they made bikes or just stickered them up for resale. Occasionally they pop up for sale on Fleabay/Craptree/Friendface etc.

You may be getting confused with Ramon???? Pretty sure Ramon Russell (or Russell Ramon) was Frankston.

This is Ray before he became unwell and died a few months ago. :(

And one of the bikes that he built for Gary Alcorn in the 80's
