Help me select a new commuting jersey - must be bright & look cool :-)
Postby MichaelB » Fri Oct 19, 2018 10:41 am
I've had trouble finding something that I'm ;
1- happy with from a styling point of view (don't like plain Hubbard options),
2 - features (prefer full zip and the wider armband elastic) and full zip,
3 - in my size (sometimes, the stock of my size isn't available or they just don't suit - e.g. the Solo range only go up to XL ?)
4 - are a sensible price. I'll pay up to $100, but not the $180 + MAAP, Blacksheep etc silly price land.
Three of the designs that I like are
Love to hear some other suggestions

you can find that jersey and other less outrageous but equally colourful at
https://racmmer-cycling.aliexpress.com/store/1052221
It is less than $20 shipped, It does not feel like a $20 jersey, sure it is not the same quality as the $100+ name jerseys I own, but comparable or better than most of the sub $100 jerseys in my wardrobe including my BNA Monton.
Size wise at 184cm 80kg 98cm chest 80cm waist and preferring race fit I went M, bad move fits across my chest but short, I really could do with a L (an XL would probably be too loose for my taste).
After 65kms today including 16km TT and a few showers

re the Foska jerseys - I like a lot of them and they are good designs, but not in my taste to wear. Thanks for the suggestions though !!

Like this:
I got a whole variety of them: Ardbeg, Bruichladdich, Glen Moray, Jura, Templeton Rye - might get one of the gin jerseys too.

The Bruichladdich is a bright blue and noticeable and they have an Arran jersey which has orange writing.MichaelB wrote:They are nice, but not bright enough for early morning visibility. Remember consuming a few of those, with Lagavulin being a favourite !

Rarely ride in the heat of the day aka full sun ie peak UV time, most my rides are over by 9:30am, so no. So no, to this or any other jersey.Mububban wrote:Do you ever get sunburn through the jersey? I remember seeing this photo/article and cringing

This one made me laugh...
If this Racmmer one had slightly different colours ..
Then there is this one that I'll probably get

Ah, I think you misunderstood....it's not for Tradies, it's to make Tradies think that the rider they are passing is actually one of them, so they don't close pass youfind_bruce wrote:Given it is for tradies, does it come with a shoulder pocket for the durriesqueequeg wrote:https://www.prism.bike/products/the-tradie-jersey
